Our Philosophy

Our high quality center is committed to encourage and support children to be lifelong learners. We take a holistic approach to educating and nurturing each child in a developmentally appropriate atmosphere. We aid in their development by offering experiences through play to enhance their social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development in a safe, healthy, loving, and nurturing environment.

Our teachers are highly educated and consistently continuing their professional growth within the field. This enables us to provide the best learning experiences possible.  Through the arts, teachers implement a learning curriculum adapted from High Reach Learning that incorporates the PA Learning Standards and the Teaching Skills and Strategies (Observe, Support, Stretch, Direct, and Stimulate) to engage the children deeper into the project topics. The curriculum is created around children’s emerging interests which includes age appropriate experiences and goals for individual development. We believe all children are individuals that learn at their own pace and in their own way as they use their senses. Opportunities are created to explore individually, cooperatively in a group, and during teacher directed activities while their process is always documented.

Our moral values are to be honest, trustworthy, and respectful, to be positive role models, which will build self-esteem to co-create future leaders. We promote cooperation, independent self-help skills, and problem solving skills.

We are dedicated in developing cooperative partnerships with families being that parents are essential in the learning process.

We have an appreciation for cultural/ethnic diversity within our classrooms and prohibit discrimination on the basis of race, color, religious creed, disability, ancestry, national origin, age, or sex.

Our Curriculum

Children thrive in an environment filled with activities that balance play and discovery. All of our classrooms are designed to incorporate Learning Centers as children are educated through the arts. Our Learn Through Play Curriculum integrates creative activities that encourage self-expression through movement, art projects, dramatic play, and more.

Teachers create Lesson Plans developed from a learning curriculum adapted from High Reach Learning that incorporates the PA Learning Standards and the Teaching Skills and Strategies (Observe, Support, Stretch, Direct, and Stimulate) to engage the children deeper into the project topics.

Our Early Learning Curriculum encourages children to develop an interest and love for learning.

Infant Program

Every child starts their education at birth.  Our Infant Teachers offer a secure an nurturing environment that promotes learning. Early Interactive Experiences lay the foundation for intellectual growth, emotional health and physical development. The goal of our Early Learning Infant Program is to provide a warm, nurturing and stimulating environment for building that foundation. It includes activities for the development of fine and gross motor skills, as well as social, emotional and cognitive skills. Teachers will provide parents with a daily communication report which include information on eating, sleeping, diapering and developmental milestones.

Toddler Program

When a child takes their first step on their own, a new phase in development begins.  At this stage children are now free to roam around their world.  It is a time for active exploration of their environment.  Language development is increasing rapidly which leads to learning the names of objects of interest and the ability to ask for things as they discover their independent nature. Our toddler program is developed to enhance listening skills and provide fine and gross motor education while strengthen color and shape recognition.

Our Preschool Program will prepare your child for success in elementary school. Teachers will promote early Math and Literacy skills. Our teachers educate children on number recognition, rote counting, one-to-one correspondence and simple addition and subtraction.

To assist with literacy, teachers educate children on alphabet letter recognition, letter sounds and letter formation. Once those skills are gained they start to include knowledge of phonological and print awareness. Early literacy skills will contribute significantly to later reading achievement.

As children learn these skills, they will have the foundation to begin reading and engaging in simple arithmetic fluently and with confidence.

Our Programs

Our School-Age Program is designed for children that have started Kindergarten through age 12. We have a Partnership with the Pocono Mountain School District and the school bus for the district will provide transportation to and from our center.  Children in this program have the option of attending before and after school or just in the morning or afternoon.

In our School-Age Program children continue to learn about the world and community they live in through team cooperation activities, art projects, educational stories and reading material. Children can participate in sports, drama, technology fun, while still having some time for homework.

Our program runs during the school year and transitions into a fun, activity packed Summer Camp Program.
